Letter from the Principal 22.3.2020
We hope you and your families are keeping safe and well. We thank you for your co-operation at this difficult and uncertain time in our community.
We want to support you and your child as much as we can during this period of school closure.
Teachers will continue to assign work for your child via the class blog. A weekly schedule will be available every Monday broken down into daily work tasks.
Bearing in mind your own family situation and resources available to you, the level of work that is completed during this period of closure is at the discretion of you and your child.
It is important to be mindful of your child’s age, ability and learning needs. We understand that this may be a stressful time for families and some children may be feeling anxious so the most important thing is that everybody stays well and healthy and spend time together as a family.
Please be assured that teachers post a variety of options, resources and activities on their blog pages in order to meet the varying needs and the various abilities of the children in their class. They will not be expecting all children to have completed the same amount of work.
Without doubt the most important and valuable thing that you can do during this current period is to encourage your child to read.
We should also enjoy spending valuable time together with our families, reading to our children, learning new skills such as baking, playing card games, board games and above all being mindful of social distancing.
