Annual Events

Maths Week

Our school celebrates Maths Week in October every year. Class teachers organise fun activities such as maths trails and active maths games throughout the week for children to enjoy.

Science Week

Science Week is always lots of fun in! Plenty of exciting experiments and investigations take place throughout the school during that special week every November.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Seachtain na Gaeilge is celebrated every year in our school. Everyone is encouraged to make an effort to speak a little more Gaeilge than usual throughout the day. Fun Gaeilge activities are organised by teachers for the children to enjoy. Many classes also practise their Irish dancing and we end the week with a céilí in the halla.

Lá Glas

In preparation for St Patricks we celebrate Lá Glas where the whole school community wear something green. We have a St Patricks Day parade around the school yard and we celebrate with a céilí in the school hall.

Active School Week

We celebrate active school week in April. Our students are encouraged to keep active and fit throughout a week of scheduled fun and healthy exercises, activities and events.

School Tours

Every academic year in June we organise a Junior and a Senior school tour. Our Junior classes have been to Fort Lucan and Dublin Zoo and our Senior classes to Funtasia.

School Sport Day

Our students are always very excited about sports day in CTK BNS. We invite our coaches back to celebrate sports day with our students and we get to play basketball, athletics, boxing, GAA, soccer and many fun old fashioned games as well.
