It has been an amazing, busy and emotional time for the Senior Classes this June. Many of the boys were involved in the incredible victories for the school football team. Myself and their peers were so proud of the players.
The boys went on many fun trips and adventures including trips to the park, tour of the Aviva Stadium with Michael Carruth and a whole day music workshop in the National Concert Hall. The boys also visited D.I.T. Grangegorman Campus for a rocket building STEM workshop which linked in with our exploration of space in Geography.
The boys learned about many interesting topics this term including the Beatles, the Solar System, the RSE workshop and dinosaurs. For the dinosaurs, the boys completed research projects, made fossils out of dough, worked as palaeontologists searching for fossils, watched educational videos from David Attenborough and practiced note taking, practiced literacy skills with dinosaur spellings as well as dinosaur themed maths revision.
The boys have worked so incredibly hard and thoroughly deserve the break. We want to wish everyone a wonderful Summer holiday.
