We have finally reached St. Patrick’s Day weekend after a busy, and stormy, start to the year. The boys in Le Chéile 2 have been trying their best with their work and have each reached important targets since the term began. Everyone’s reading and handwriting is improving, and our daily group work is going very well.
We have had lots of fun with Athletics, which has only just finished. Two of our pupils have been doing weekly BLAST workshops in the hall, focusing on movement, space, expression, body awareness and more. Our fortnightly Gaelic Football sessions at St. Finbarr’s are going well and hopefully the weather will pick up soon and we’ll be back on the astro pitch.
Speaking of weather, we had snow recently… and our class had a wonderful time doing sensory play with huge tubs of snow brought in from our schoolyard. Lots of creativity and fun. But we’re looking forward to sunnier days!
Several special days have arrived in quick succession in the past few weeks: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day – and Easter is just around the corner. We’ve made lots of art for school and home, as well as practising our dances for the Céilí Mór and marching in our St. Patrick’s Day school parade on Lá Glas. Some of us did the Ireland Quiz for Seachtain na Gaeilge as well.
We hope that all the Le Chéile 2 boys have a lovely St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir.
