Le Chéile 2 has been a hive of activity since we started back. We welcomed two new pupils to the school and one who has joined us from Le Chéile 1. We’ve been sharing our interests, doing morning meetings, getting used to schedules and trying a range of gross and fine motor exercises each day, as well as focusing on individual skills.
We’ve been lucky enough to have Jeanette coach our classes in athletics for several weeks now. The class is also visiting St. Finbarr’s for weekly Gaelic Football with Thomas – we even got to play on the indoor astro pitch! But that’s not all: we have been attending art workshops in Cabra Library, where we have learned how to make art with felt. Messy and fun!
After settling into our routines, we discussed the topic of Autumn (including making art with leaves and collecting conkers on our walks to Grangegorman playground) and moved on to Hallowe’en, which we are all excited about.
We hope the boys all have a safe and happy Hallowe’en and can’t wait to hear how trick or treat went!
